The historic Poppella brand was born in Naples, in the 1920s, from the merger of two names: Papele (Raffaele) and Puppnella (Giuseppina), or Raffaele Scognamillo and his wife Giuseppina Evangelista, who, precisely in those years, listed according to bakers in the popular Rione Health. After the difficult years of the Second World War, in 1960 the management passed into the hands of his son Salvatore and, in 2005, in those of his son Ciro, the third generation of Poppella. In 2016, to complete this step, Poppella opens its second store in via Santa Brigida, in the tourist heart of the city, a stone's throw from Maschio Angioino, Galleria Umberto I and Teatro San Carlo.
