The Khakass national Museum of local lore, founded on a voluntary basis in 1929 under the district Department of public education, received the status of a state Museum on the basis of Resolution No. 16 of July 29, 1931. Presidium of the Khakass regional Executive Committee "on the organization of the regional Museum".
