The signature line and driver behind this whole creation that we named, You Always Were was born out of reframing the common saying, and perhaps society at large or at least TV & pop culture’s mainstream narrative, “the black sheep in the family” to “I am a unicorn in the family!'' This became a mantra for Akeisha’s life. Many of you out there often feel like you don’t fit in. Your desires are different. Nothing about your path is linear. You don’t want to do it the way it’s always been done, and you are perfectly fine going about life beating your own drum…doing things your way for your life! And so, You Always Were was born and so was the mission to create a ripple effect and an experience with every item. Reminding you that you are unique, loved, whole and a gift to this earth! Even further than that, you become part of the change as a shift will occur in anyone who takes a moment to read or look at whatever piece of You Always Were you are sporting that day!
