On January 26, 2008, two well-established clubs joined forces to create something extraordinary: UHC Urdorf Bulls, one of the founding members of the Swiss Floorball Association, based on the left side of the Limmat, and UHC Limmat Sharks, based on the right side of the Limmat. Together, they founded Unihockey Limmattal. This merger not only leveraged synergies but also united teams and fostered young talent. We are committed to promoting grassroots sports while providing a platform for ambitious players to excel in high-performance teams. Our members and fans hail from across the Limmat Valley, including communities such as Oetwil a.d.L., Geroldswil, Weiningen, Unter- and Oberengstringen, Schlieren, Dietikon, Urdorf, and Birmensdorf. Additionally, floorball enthusiasts from neighboring areas in the cantons of Zurich and Aargau, as well as the city of Zurich, join us. Since the merger in 2008, we have proudly fielded around 9 to 10 junior teams and 4 active teams each season. Remarkably, at least one junior team has reached the finals every season—a testament to the quality of our training and the dedication of our coaches, who pass on their passion for floorball to the next generation. In addition to our junior teams, we operate our own floorball school, where even the youngest can discover the joy of the sport and learn the values of teamwork in a playful environment. We also organize around 20 home tournaments or games annually. On top of that, our floorball bistro is recognized as the best of its kind in Switzerland, setting a culinary benchmark. Our commitment, however, extends beyond regular league activities. Unihockey Limmattal actively participates in the Special Olympics and organizes a unique floorball tournament for its participants every two years. With pride, we reflect on our club's success story and remain passionately dedicated to supporting the sport, our members, and our community.
