"I tend to work backwards on my animations. First, I start drawing. Then, I keep drawing until the idea reveals itself. Once it has, I rework the whole thing to support that idea. Sometimes I'll have a stack of 50 some layers that never see the light of the internet by the end, but those are always the most important layers. I just keep drawing until the thing I see is something I can enjoy as a viewer, not a creator."
