ISMEA, the Institute for Agro-food Market Services, is a public economic body under the supervision of the Ministry of Agricultural Food and Forestry (Mipaaf). Within its institutional functions, ISMEA carries out informative, insurance and financial services and constitutes forms of credit and financial guarantees for the agricultural enterprises and their associated forms, in order to promote the information and transparency of the markets, to facilitate the relationship with the banking and insurance system, to promote the company's competitiveness and to reduce the risks inherent in production and market activities. Information and market services have the objective of promoting market transparency, developing the promotion of Italian products and supporting internationalization.
