There are those who want it, and there are those who want it badly. At the beginning - more than 10 years ago - everything was just plans. Nowadays, it is already a story to tell. And with many chapters yet to write. Creating Kooyah Sound, a soundsystem that has been committed, since the beginning, to taking the hot rhythms of "Jamaican, African & Caribbean style" everywhere, has been our best choice until today. And this sense of commitment and of wanting to set dancefloors on fire led us to share the stage with great artists from the reggae, dancehall movement, among others. From the timeless Alborosie to Dub Inc, through Sizzla Kalonji, Busy Signal, Popcaan, Chronixx and the electric Charly Black, we have already had the pleasure of sharing the stage with internationally known artists, who gave us the opportunity to show our value and conveyed it to us. several learnings that made us who we are today on stage. But never forgetting that "what is national is good", from the north to the south of the country, as in the Coliseu de Lisboa and the Teatro Sá da Bandeira, in Porto, we also had the opportunity to act with several renowned Portuguese artists, like Kussondulola, Richie Campbell, who needs no introduction, the kings of Portuguese hip-hop, Jack and Sam the Kid and Supa Squad, Djodje, Anselmo Ralph and Chaparro, among others. In 2012, for the first time, we got on a plane to do our first international performance with two dates, in Austria. A year later, we were on our way to Cape Verde, to perform at the Santa Maria Festival, in Ilha do Sal. And in 2015 and 2016 we returned, this time to be present at the first soundsystem party on São Vicente Island. Although there are already many stories to tell, there is still much to write. And many goals to accomplish. Taking our rhythms to you, making the party on your side, is one of the goals that has existed since the beginning and has been maintained over the years. Creating new stories, in all the spaces we operate and with each new artist we share the stage is another. And grow, grow with those who always watch and always have space to embrace more. 2020 will be a year of hard work, and many new features. Stay tuned!
