Bob Skoric has dedicated nearly 40 years to helping individuals reconnect with sound. As an audioprosthologist and board-certified professional in hearing instrument sciences, he combines expertise with a true passion for improving the lives of his patients. He is the founder and president of Beltone-Skoric Hearing Aid Center, which has expanded to 37 locations throughout northern Michigan. His mission remains constant: to help people regain their hearing and, in turn, their quality of life. Born in Eastern Europe and now residing in West Palm Beach, Florida, Bob Skoric initially pursued a music career. For over 30 years, he performed Serbian folk and Balkan music, both locally and internationally, which allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the emotional significance of sound. He grew up in Donji Stepci, where he was influenced by his father and uncles, who were musicians. He started playing guitar at the age of eight, later discovering his love for the accordion, which he studied under the guidance of a respected teacher. His dedication and talent earned him the title of "First Accordion of North America and Canada" in 1985. Outside of his professional work, Skoric enjoys recording acoustic music in his studio and values time spent with his family. His exposure to music from a young age gave him a unique perspective on sound, helping him appreciate its importance beyond just a scientific element—it is a profoundly human experience. This insight eventually guided him toward a career in hearing care, where he now helps people who have distanced themselves from the world due to hearing loss. Although not a medical doctor, Bob is certified in audioprosthology and hearing instrument sciences. His role involves assessing hearing loss and fitting patients with hearing aids. He is an active member of the International Hearing Society and has served as Vice President of the Michigan Alliance of Hearing Care Professionals. Bob has helped over 20,000 individuals regain their hearing and improve their lives. His work goes beyond simply providing hearing aids—he is passionate about educating his patients on the impact of untreated hearing loss and the solutions available.
