Dr. Salvatore Palumbo, MD, FACS, FAANS, is a board-certified neurosurgeon and spine specialist on Long Island. He serves as Chief of the Department of Neurosurgery and Director of Neurotrauma at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, and he will reach 25 years at the hospital in 2027. He also serves as Chief of Neurosurgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bethpage. He has dedicated much of his career to treating complex neurological conditions and is recognized for his expertise both in his practice and nationwide. Dr. Salvatore is known for a patient-first philosophy that combines advanced surgical techniques with personalized care plans. He carefully evaluates each case to determine the most effective and least invasive treatment approach. His goal is to relieve pain while restoring function, mobility, and overall quality of life. He has treated thousands of patients with conditions affecting the spine, neck, brain, and peripheral nerves.
