Sarika Shah-Sekhon, a hospitalist and nocturnist specializing in primary care and internal medicine, is critical in patient care assessments and admissions across medical, mental health, and intensive care units. Previously, Dr. Shah-Sekhon was an internal medicine clinician and advanced care provider supervisor at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center—CHMC. Dr. Shah-Sekhon has been a healthcare provider in upstate New York for over 16 years, practicing internal medicine at Rochester Regional Health in Gouverneur and Ogdensburg. Her experience includes outpatient medical management and inpatient hospital care, where she serves the rural communities of Ogdensburg, Potsdam, Plattsburgh, and Massena. Alongside her role as a physician, Dr. Shah-Sekhon actively works to support and uplift the youth in her community. She contributed to the creation of The Handprint Project, a program aimed at giving young people equal opportunities both in the classroom and outside of it. Through the project, she works to create opportunities for youth to engage in community service, build leadership skills, and collaborate with other groups.
