Harminder Thind, also known as Hermin Thind, has spent over twenty years building businesses centered around operational efficiency and a people-first philosophy. From managing a Subway franchise in his early years to leading the expansion of Vapor Maven across multiple states, his career is defined by steady growth, calculated risk-taking, and a focus on strengthening the communities in which he operates. Born in 1980 in Punjab, India, he moved with his family to Seattle in 1992 at the age of twelve. This experience instilled a strong work ethic and a belief in the value of self-reliance. After completing high school, he earned an associate degree in computer science, but his true passion lay in entrepreneurship. At 19, he purchased a Subway franchise, where he learned critical business skills, from managing inventory to overseeing customer service. These early experiences shaped his leadership approach, which prioritizes hands-on involvement, problem-solving, and leading by example. After selling his Subway franchise, he ventured into other businesses, including operating a Dairy Queen and opening the first Indian restaurant in a small town. Later, his family acquired a motel in Springdale, Arkansas. During the 2007 recession, he took over operations to keep the motel running, learning resilience and refining his skills in cost management and customer service. In 2014, Harminder recognized an opportunity in the vaping industry and opened the first Vapor Maven store. His vision was to provide customers with quality products and guidance on safer alternatives to smoking. As the business expanded, he concentrated on developing systems for hiring, training, and maintaining high operational standards across all locations. Today, he continues to lead with a hands-on approach, balancing business expansion with a commitment to community service.
