Holly DeNeve is an Indiana attorney whose work has been firmly rooted in child welfare law. She spent over ten years with the Indiana Department of Child Services, where she handled a broad range of legal matters involving children and families, particularly in St. Joseph County. Her career has been defined by consistent preparation, a calm courtroom presence, and a strong commitment to serving the best interests of children, often without public recognition but with meaningful impact. Holly graduated from New Prairie High School in 2004 and earned her degree in political science with a minor in environmental studies in 2008, graduating magna cum laude. In 2011, she completed her Juris Doctor and passed the Indiana Bar Exam. From the beginning, she chose a path focused on public service, driven by a desire to advocate for those in vulnerable situations rather than pursue private practice. Her legal journey began as a temporary legal assistant before she became a full-time staff attorney in St. Joseph County. She handled cases involving children in need of services, adoptions, guardianships, and termination of parental rights. Her work included drafting motions, conducting discovery, interviewing witnesses, and representing cases in court. Known for her careful approach and consistent professionalism, she became a dependable figure in the courtroom. In 2016, she briefly stepped away from the department but returned shortly after, continuing her service until September 2025.
