Karthik Marupeddi is a Senior Software Engineer at TIGA, The Integration Group of Americas, based in Fort Bend County, Texas. With over a decade of experience in software engineering, he has contributed to various high-impact projects that improve operational efficiency, reliability, and safety within the industrial sector. TIGA specializes in systems integration and engineering services, and his work has been instrumental in helping clients in industries like oil, gas, and energy streamline their processes and improve performance. Originally from India, Marupeddi moved to the United States 15 years ago to pursue his higher education. After earning a Master’s, he began his professional career in the software industry, gaining experience across various sectors. His problem-solving and software development expertise has helped him tackle complex challenges and provide practical solutions to multiple clients. Marupeddi joined TIGA in 2019, where he played a critical role in developing IOps. This software system integrates SCADA systems to optimize the management of oil and gas assets. The platform allows users to remotely monitor and control assets, which results in improved efficiency and reduced operational risks. Marupeddi also worked on developing Messenger+, a tool designed to forecast operational challenges such as scheduling and capacity by analyzing input data. His experience with web technologies such as Angular, Typescript, HTML, and CSS helped ensure the software's functionality was paired with an intuitive user interface. Before joining TIGA, Marupeddi started his career as a software developer at Verizon Business in Richardson, Texas. He worked on web-based applications that helped Verizon’s clients manage their services more effectively. A key project during his time at Verizon was the E-Bonding system, a platform that enabled Verizon’s business customers to generate orders and manage trouble tickets. He contributed to developing web services and worked to ensure seamless data integration, helping improve the efficiency of Verizon’s operations and customer service. Following his time at Verizon, Marupeddi joined the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare as a Java Developer. During his time with the department, he worked on several key state applications, such as IBES, e-Verify, and Idalink, which were used to determine eligibility for public assistance programs like food stamps and Medicaid. He utilized agile and scrum methodologies to enhance the performance of these applications, ensuring that they processed and exchanged data efficiently across state departments. Marupeddi then worked as a Software Engineer at ABB in Sugarland, Texas, contributing to developing the nMarket Suite. This platform, used in the energy sector, facilitated transaction management, scheduling, and reporting. His work helped energy companies manage their operations more efficiently by providing them with tools to handle bids, positions, and settlements. His experience in the energy sector further honed his skills in developing software solutions that address the unique needs of high-demand industries. Marupeddi holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Science Engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he received a full tuition scholarship and stipend. He also earned a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad, India. To stay current with the latest technologies, Marupeddi has earned certifications in Angular 2 and Scrum Product Ownership, allowing him to refine his skills and approach to software development continuously. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys spending time with his family. He is married to Sravani Rampay, and they have two sons, Eeshan and Ayaan. The family is actively involved in their local community, primarily through their participation at the Shirdi Sai Jalaram Mandir, where they donate meals to needy people. He is a fan of the Green Bay Packers in the NFL and the Houston Rockets in the NBA, and he follows the Indian national cricket team closely.
