Coleman Analytics uses complex calculations such as Corsi, Fenwick, Expected Goals, and PDO to make its assessments even more accurate than traditional methods. For instance, Corsi measures goal attempts instead of simply counting when the puck enters the net, while Expected Goals look at each shot's danger. Fenwick is similar to Corsi but does not factor in blocked shots, and PDO evaluates how "fortunate" or "unfortunate" teams are by looking into their on-ice shooting plus save percentage. Coleman's achievements also involve software programming with Mike Smith that enabled deeper data gathering on hockey games by analyzing each game layer-by-layer for easier player tracking. These contributions have marked his name as a leader in hockey analytics and a trailblazer in statistical data analysis across all sports. Moreover, Coleman has won the prestigious Stanley Cup five times by aiding various clubs to become league champions. This historic trophy was created in 1892 by Lord Stanley – Governor General of Canada then – making it North America's oldest honouring a professional athletic franchise victory.
