Shehan Chandrasoma was born in Austin, Texas, and reared there. Shehan has always had a passion for vehicles and racing. According to his parents, his first word was "car," and he received a toy go-cart as a gift when he was two years old. He obtained his professional driver's license at the age of 14, making him one of only a few people in the world to do so. That same year, he demonstrated not only his performance in the circuit finals Series A race, where he finished third, but also his enormous potential in the racing world.
