Storm's academic background is rooted in his early education at Ridley College in Ontario and Choate Rosemary Hall. While at St. Andrews, he demonstrated his leadership skills by serving as president of the International Politics Association and contributing to the university’s varsity golf team. His Master’s research, conducted at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, laid the groundwork for his future career, combining history, international relations, and finance. In 1994, Storm entered the financial world as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he quickly made his mark. By 1996, he moved to J&W Seligman, becoming the youngest partner in the firm’s history. He managed multi-billion-dollar portfolios in the technology, media, and telecom sectors in this role. This experience paved the way for his next move to Sigma Capital, where he focused on long/short portfolios. In 2006, he founded Brompton Cross Capital, a firm specializing in public and private technology investments, where he served as the lead portfolio manager. Storm’s career continued to evolve when he joined Brock Capital Group as a Senior Managing Director in 2008. At Brock, he advised on private debt portfolios and collaborated with firms like Medley Capital, Brightwood Capital, and MC Credit across North America, the UK, and Asia. In 2021, Storm took another significant step by founding TRE Advisors.
