Winthrop Edward Jeanfreau is an entrepreneur, executive, and civic educator with over 30 years of experience across industries such as manufacturing, finance, education, and firearms training. Throughout his career, he has founded 12 companies, successfully exited eight, and generated more than $680 million in cumulative revenue impact. His background combines entrepreneurship, executive leadership, and education, along with certifications in business analysis, financial services, and firearms instruction. He is also a published writer and an established voice in constitutional education, committed to equipping others with knowledge and preparation. Win Jeanfreau earned his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication with a minor in Business from the University of Utah before completing his MBA at the University of Oregon. This academic preparation gave him the tools to grow and lead organizations in multiple industries. His entrepreneurial journey began in the 1990s when he launched Kameleon International, a vending franchise that expanded across 10 states. Through the development of proprietary intellectual property and a structured franchise training model, he achieved 100% franchisee longevity, an uncommon result in franchising. After establishing the company as profitable and scalable, it was sold. Around the same period, Win co-owned Shred-it Oregon, part of a global document destruction company. Competing within a network of more than 100 locations, his branch became the fastest-growing and most profitable. For three consecutive years, he led sales efforts, set records, and built a strong performance culture before selling the operation at a substantial return. In 1999, he founded Aperion Audio, a direct-to-consumer high-fidelity audio brand. Well before e-commerce became mainstream, he recognized the potential of connecting directly with customers. By overseeing engineering, manufacturing, and marketing, he positioned the company as a global name with award-winning products. This venture also concluded in a successful sale. Jeanfreau later co-founded a financial services firm in Portland that merged into one of Oregon’s top independent wealth management firms. His approach included offering financial literacy seminars through community colleges, a method that expanded both educational access and client trust. Eventually, the business was merged into a larger national advisory company. Between 2013 and 2018, he worked at Utah Valley University in leadership roles, including Director of the Small Business Development Center and Acting Associate Vice-President of Academic Outreach and Economic Development. During this time, the Business Resource Center facilitated more than $20 million in capital infusion, creating 143 jobs in three years. In recent years, Win has focused on firearms training and constitutional education. As a certified instructor and Constitution Coach, he provides instruction on safety, accuracy, and situational awareness, while also helping citizens better understand their constitutional rights and responsibilities. His expertise includes handguns, rifles, and shotguns, combining technical skills with civic education. His service extends beyond business and education. He served a mission in New England for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, dedicated six years as a Scoutmaster, and served four years as a Civil Air Patrol Captain. Jeanfreau also continues to support charitable work and was a member of the Women’s Leadership Forum board.
