José Daniel Camillo, the Singer Daniel, was Born in Brotas on September 09, 1968. While he was a child, at 8 years, he got his first guitar when his father José Camillo noticed the passion for music that the child demonstrated. Since then, music and Daniel have not been apart. He participated in several regional festivals of country music, in wich he met better his friend João Paulo, with whom he teamed up in 1980 – then emerged the duo João Paulo & Daniel. The death of João Paulo in 1997 broke off the trajectory of the friends who started to walk the path of success. With the support of family, friends and fans, Daniel decided to follow the dream alone and keep doing what fulfills him the most, which is singing. Daniel sings, dances, plays and acts. His undeniable talent is nationally recognized, having been awarded 4 times as the best singer in Brazil by Globo TV, in Faustão TV show, in addition to having received the SBT internet award, in 2004, 2007 and 2008, as best singer, and other several indications. The most recent award in Daniel´s history is the Latin Grammy Awards, granted in 2009 for the album “As músicas do filme O Menino da Porteira”. A great personal achievement for Daniel in 2009 was the reopening of Cine São José, in Brotas/São Paulo. The space that had been a cinema and housed the radio Brotense in the city for many years, was closed about 20 years ago. Daniel acquired the building, renovated it and gave life to this historic cultural area of his homeland. The reopening happened with the preview of “O Menino da Porteira” in March, 2009. In the same year, the singer won a “gift of God” in his personal life, the daughter Lara, who was born on November 27. In 2010, he began the year with a new office, Daniel Promoções Artísticas, in Brotas, and got married in May to Aline de Pádua, with whom he already had a long lasting relationship and a daughter. January already announced how important the year 2012 would be in Daniel´s life, with birth of his second daughter, Luiza, on the 9th. This is year in which the singer celebrates his 30th carrer anniversary and he celebrated with important projects that will enter into 2013. In the second half, Daniel participated as coach of the TV Show “The Voice Brasil”, of Globo TV, and released the new show “Daniel 30 anos – O Musical” in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. 2013 started at full speed at full speed with the preparation and recording of the DVD “Daniel 30 anos – O Musical” in April, which was released by Sony Music in September. Then one more gift in the artist´s carrer – Daniel was invited to record the song for the opening of the soap opera “Amor à vida”, broadcasted on primetime on Globo TV with great positive repercussion across the country.
