NordStar Airlines (JSC NordStar Airlines) is a dynamically developing aviation project, the main objective of which is to provide reliable, high-quality and maximally affordable air communication between the largest Russian and foreign cities. The company was established on 17 December 2008, when by the decision of the Board of Directors of Joint Stock Company «Airline «Taimyr» (controlled by PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel) the Moscow Branch of Joint Stock Company «Airline «Taimyr» was founded together with the trademark «NordStar Airlines». The first flight of NordStar Airlines was performed on 17 June 2009 on the route Moscow — Norilsk launching regular service on two most important routes for Norilsk: Norilsk — Moscow and Norilsk — Krasnoyarsk. At the same time NordStar Airlines began to conduct transportation service on the route Krasnoyarsk — Moscow. Thus, reliable air communication between Norilsk, Moscow and Krasnoyarsk became priority growth area for the airline right from the beginning. In the course of operation the company managed to develop a vast destinations network, significantly increase the aircraft fleet and establish itself as a reliable, affordable air carrier with a high level of service.
