Growing up in an all-female household in Manchester on a soulful diet of Nina Simone and Diana Ross, Odette Peters knew from a young age that she had something to say. First aspiring to be a poet, Odette was just 13 when she started to explore words in a more musical manner. Now living in London, her music blends spoken word poetry, jazz and neo-soul, providing social commentary on issues including politics, mental health and equality. With smoky and powerful vocals featuring an incredible range, Odette is fully immersed in the current jazz and neo-soul movement. With an image that is unique and clearly defined, we have here a young woman who knows not only what she wants to say but exactly how to say it - both vocally and visually.
