The "ELPIDA - Association of Friends of Children with cancer" was founded in 1990 by a group of women, with Mrs. Marianna V. Vardinoyannis as its President, aiming to provide support, through any means possible, to children suffering from cancer and to the families of those children. The "ELPIDA" Association, from the time of its establishment, has struggled to improve childhood cancer statistics in our country and shall continue to do so by constantly setting and attaining new goals dictated by new needs in the field of childhood cancer.
